One shot, three ratios

This morning while I was walking Dug, I stopped and took a photograph of reflections in the water of the lake we are camped next to.

Here is the shot with the original aspect ratio:

Here is the same image cropped to an 8×10 aspect ratio:

and finally, here is the image with a custom crop:

The different crops allow for a different “feel” to the image. The advantage for the 8×10 is that it is easily matted and framed. The other two images would require a custom matting at least and probably custom framing for the most effective display.

    Good point. Often the ones that I like the most are going to be the most expensive to create. Beautiful photo with varying hues, tree lines and reflection. The 8 x10 does have great depth of reflection.
