A Walk in the Forest

To a boy who was raised and has lived most of his life in southwestern Colorado, the temperate rain forests of Washington are a unique experience. We took a short hike a couple of days ago through the forest on our way view the sediment retention dam built to control sediment runoff from Mount St. Helens. Here are some shots from that walk.
